Our Women's Health and oncology services include treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction in both men and women,
as well as rehab services for people who have a mastectomy or lumpectomy.
Pain during pregnancy can also be addressed in physical therapy.
Pelvic floor dysfunction can include pain, difficulty with urination, painful intercourse, or urinary or fecal incontinence.
Our physical therapist completes a private examination and treats each person with an individualized treatment program.
Following a mastectomy or lumpectomy, people are educated in lymphedema precautions, range of motion activities, and scar management techniques.
In the case of lymphedema, our therapists have been specially trained in manual lymphatic drainage and the specific treatment of lymphedema.
Women often experience pain during pregnancy. Physical therapy can help offer relief through treatments including manual techniques, exercises and the use of pregnancy supports.
